Margaret is a founder partner of Smart Office Services and has spent her entire working life in the admin field. She commenced her career in the City of London working as a secretary/pa for the Managing Director of Geest Wholesale Division; thereafter has held senior supporting positions for Ind Coope head office, UB International, Inn Business and Punch Taverns directors, latterly mainly involved in HR. She was also responsible for the research and writing of a company magazine. Margaret is married with two grown up children and three grandchildren and in her spare time enjoys researching her Ancestry and relaxing with friends.
Sally is a founder partner of Smart Office Services. She started her career with a food manufacturing company in Banbury who sponsored her training through college. During the period of her career she has worked for a great many sectors including: The MAFF; A Social Sciences Publisher; Computer Systems Company; and a Pub Management Company all as PA at Director and Chief Executive level. Sally is married with three sons and during her time at home ran a bed and breakfast business. She is actively involved with the Inner Wheel Club in Buckingham, raising money for local charities. She has a small house in France and is trying to improve her French.
Tracey has been with the company since the summer of 2000 when she was approached to help out with some ad hoc bookkeeping and has not looked back since. She previously worked at Inn Business with Sally & Margaret where she was an important and invaluable member of the accounts department. Tracey, a Senior Account Manager with SOS, is an Associate Member of The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers where she achieved distinction in all her exams results. Tracey, who is married, is also an Avon representative and is actively involved as Treasurer in the local boys football team, for which her son plays.
Lynn joined the company in the early part of 2008. She has held many previous accounts positions working for both Chartered Accountants and companies in the private sector taking responsibility for the control of both sales & purchase ledger. Lynn, a Senior Account Manager, is a quiet, calm member of the accounts team and handles & advises clients on both bookkeeping and payroll. Like the other members of the accounts team she is experienced in Sage and Quickbooks software - she is also skilled in Flexible payroll software. Lynn has no spare time as she is married with four sons.
Lorna joined the SOS team in June 2005 and has been the main ‘face’ of the company ever since. She is very likely to be your first port of call and is excellent at handling and dealing with the public. Lorna previously worked at CIS Insurance for six years and Coughlan General Insurance where she was communicating with the public at all levels. She then joined Puratos in their Sales Dept and was involved with all aspects customer service until she left to start a family and now has a young daughter & son.
Anna joined SOS in September 2010, returning to office work after her two young children started school. After gaining four years' experience as PA to the MD at IMServ, a division of FTSE 100 company Invensys, she went on to work in their Business Development Dept. Anna also worked as a Business Development Manager for the Danish time management company TimeSystem. This role included marketing, PR and managing key customer accounts. Anna is extremely well organised, commercially aware and enthusiastic.
Christine is the youngest Account Manager of the SOS accounts team, joining the company in March 2009 leaving Magdalen School, Brackley in 2008 after taking her GCSE AS levels. She gained work experience at HRD and Payroll Solutions and then Midlands Co-operative as an assistant working with figures. She is studying with The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and has gained distinction in Part I. Christine enjoys all sport and plays Bowls at her local club.
Barbara has been employed at SOS since September 2003. She worked for Barclays Bank Plc for more than 20 years, and spent the first ten years travelling to London’s West End before accepting the position of Secretary/PA to the Manager of the Business Centre at Finchley Central. Barbara handles telephone calls but is also an excellent typist and is experienced in both shorthand and audio. Barbara enjoys meeting people and is a valued member of the team.
Lisa first joined the company at the same time as Lorna in June 2005. She has many years experience in the domestic lettings sector and has been involved in customer service at all levels. Lisa originally worked within the reception office but has recently taken on the duties as a full time PA undertaking complete office management and event & appointment organising for clients. Lisa has a wonderful telephone manner and gets on well with people at all levels. She is married with a young daughter.
Helen is the latest recruit joining Smart Office Services in May 2009 to set up a Telemarketing department. She has many years of experience in Telemarketing and provides an intelligent, non pushy, non scripted telesales and marketing service. In fact she was used on the other side of the fence when Smart Office Services first set up and was instrumental in obtaining good, solid, appointments. The clients met at that time are still with SOS today. Helen is married with two grown up children.
